This life-long Chicagoan's career has spanned well over thirty-years as a professional speaker, signer, broadcaster, actor and author. Wayn Messmer is a highly repsected Certified Professional Speaker, whose voice remains closely identified with the singing of the National Anthem. He has held an association with the Chicago Cubs since 1985. For three years prior to that, he was the PA Announcer/Soloist for the Chicago White Sox. Wayne spent thirteen seasons (1981-'94) as the celbrated Soloist for the Chicago Blackhawks. He will perform with other musicians to bring a great show to Hoffman Estates. http://waynemessmer.com/
Petra's Recession Seven
Petra van Nuis (pronounced Pay-tra van Nouse) is a Chicago-based jazz vocalist who has been described in Downbeat Magazine as having "a light, gorgeous, and fairly delicate voice...a gift for melody and plenty of rhythmic confidence."
A Chicagoan since 2003, Petra sings at all the finest jazz venues in town including the Jazz Showcase, the Green Mill, Katerina's, Andy's Jazz Club, Fitzgerald's, the City Winery, and the Old Town School of Folk Music. Chicago's Department of Cultural Affairs has presented Petra's groups at the Chicago Cultural Center and Chicago Summer Dance. The Jazz Institute of Chicago has featured Petra's Recession Seven band at the Chicago Jazz Festival and Jazz City.
